Sewer Covers... do you collect them? (Title does not say it all.)

Title says it all. Let's discuss.

I personally don't collect them but I'm reading it could be a popular trend.

We may all be old, but we have a few good years left.

re: Sewer Covers... do you collect them? (Title does not say it all.)

No, but for a few years I was taking pictures of various water towers when I traveled. I thought that maybe someday I would publish a book of them. Weird.

Maybe we could start posting pictures of sewer covers. I have one right outside my house I can snap later.

Edit: I see now that this came from another thread. I should have started a thread about the water tower pics a long time ago and maybe the forum wouldn't be dying.

I don't even like stepping on them (I'll find the one that falls through), much less collecting them.

He doesn't collect sewer covers, they are at an incorrect frame rate.

Calling it now: In eight years, someone is going to find this thread on google, sign up a new account, and bump this thread.

I have an awesome collection of sewer covers, but my Dad won't let me keep them in the living room, where they belong. Is he being unreasonable?

This thread is LITERALLY why Obama didn't win a 3rd term.

What the hell is a “sewer cover” is that the same thing as a manhole cover? Is this a regional term like soda/pop?

I can't believe none of you motherfuckers have considered the fact that sewer covers are dirty and nasty and covered with the poop germs of people who probably drag their bedbug-infested blankets into the movie theater just so zyzzle will bitch about it.

...Wha? I don't... What?!

I did a search on collecting sewer covers and the Wikipedia article says people collect photos of them. It not the actual covers. That seems unbelievably dangerous and illegal to take them, unless this is some sort of replica thing.

I not only photograph covers (not just sewers, but other access covers), I sell the images.

I have a nice collection.
